Hi, I’m Weronika
I recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in web design and development. In addition to my web development work, I teach digital skills, helping people build confidence and independence in today’s digital world.
While searching for new opportunities, (Pawel Orzechowski), the mastermind behind this project, shared with me the idea for a bin collection app he developed with CodeClan students (David Bujok, George Tegos, Lewis Ferguson)two years ago.
The idea of the bin app is fantastic. Many times, I found myself looking out the window to see which bins my neighbour put out this week and wondering whether it was the recycling bin or the non-recyclable one.
While the app has great potential, it hasn’t been updated in over two years and currently features outdated collection dates and an old design.
Because of this, I decided to join the project and, along with Pawel, work on revitalising the app to enhance its functionality and better serve our community’s needs.
