Here’s a log of all changes and improvements we’ve implemented. Also here we say thank you to all the volunteers who helped us to improve the app
Future Versions (what’s next):
Features we are working on for next versions of the app:
- you will be able to change what time notifications arrive (not just 8pm of the night before)
- you might be able to choose a colour scheme, so that different bin types have colours you prefer
- we are working on ability for supporters to order bin-stickers/ posters so that you can help us promote the app
- We prepared foundations for the app data to be updated (e.g. when new calendars are released) even without updating the app (data will be ‘refreshed’ via the internet)
Version 2.4: New Designs and Grammar improvements (01 Aug 2025):
- New designs to improve support for users with dyslexia
- Improvements in grammar and spelling

Version 2.3: New Menu & Notification Improvements (01 July 2025):
- Now old notifications get cleaned up when you open the app
- new menu allows us to add content in the app (like this exect sentence you’re reading)
Version 2.2: Garden Waste calendars added & Fixes to all data problems raised by our users (01 May 2025):
- thank you to everyone (11 people!) who raied issues using the contact form in the menu
- We added data for Garden Waste, and combined them with all the other calendars (this was a lot of work)
Version 2.1: Improving stability/robustness of the app (01 April 2025):
- App now works better on all sizes of phones (ios and android)
Version 2.0: Re-Release of the app & new data for 2025 (01 March 2025)
- First scrape of the data from council website (5000 streets x 3 bin calendars)
- Weronika joins the team and creates new designs and user flows
